The younger profile of Nebbiolo
It is a more “immediate” version of Nebbiolo than the more important Barolo DOCG. It does not forget, however, the tannicity and complexity typical of the grape variety.


IN THE VINEYARD
Communes of Novello and BaroloAltitude: from 280 to 420 m above sea level
Soil: calcareous base with different infiltrations of sand and clay, depending on the geographical location.
Grapevine: Nebbiolo
Planting density: 4,200 – 4,500 plants/hectare
Growing system: espalier with simple Guyot pruning.
Year of implantation: various periods, between 1976 and 2016.

IN THE CELLAR
Soft pressing and destemmingFermentation and maceration in steel vats for about 15 days
Maturation of about 12 months in small wooden barrels of 225-300 liters of second and third wine, sometimes integrated with passage in 10 hectoliters barrels

IN THE GLASS
Ruby red color of medium intensity, vivid and bright, a classicCaptivating aroma of fresh and withered flowers, often accompanied by notes of currant and raspberry
The balanced acidity and a soft and pleasant tannin remind us that we are drinking Nebbiolo, showing, without making it prevail, the rustic personality of Langa.
