Le Strette has been producing Barbera d’Alba Persole since 1997, the year of its first harvest.
In the Vineyard
- Altitude: 350–420 m a.s.l.
- Soils: various calcareous-based soils, with alternating sand and clay depending on specific location
- Variety: Barbera
- Vine density: 4,200–4,600 plants/ha
- Training system: Guyot on vertical trellising
- Planting years: 1940, 1950, 1999
In the Cellar
- Gentle crushing and destemming
- Fermentation and maceration in stainless steel for about 15 days
- Aging for approximately 12 months in small oak barrels (225–300 litres), second and third passage
In the Glass
- Color: intense, attractive ruby red with lively depth
- Aroma: elegant and complex, with notes of small red fruits, sweet spice, occasional hints of cocoa and floral nuances
- Palate: fresh and harmonious, combining a soft, full structure with the delicate acidity typical of Barbera
