In the Vineyard

  • Altitude: 350–420 m a.s.l.
  • Soils: various calcareous-based soils, with alternating sand and clay depending on specific location
  • Variety: Barbera
  • Vine density: 4,200–4,600 plants/ha
  • Training system: Guyot on vertical trellising
  • Planting years: 1940, 1950, 1999

In the Cellar

  • Gentle crushing and destemming
  • Fermentation and maceration in stainless steel for about 15 days
  • Aging for approximately 12 months in small oak barrels (225–300 litres), second and third passage

In the Glass

  • Color: intense, attractive ruby red with lively depth
  • Aroma: elegant and complex, with notes of small red fruits, sweet spice, occasional hints of cocoa and floral nuances
  • Palate: fresh and harmonious, combining a soft, full structure with the delicate acidity typical of Barbera
